Micah had to have surgery to remove an extra tooth that was coming in between his permanent teeth. They removed it so that his permanent teeth would come in normally and together. The dentist thought that he would lose his baby teeth. The tooth was in a place where the dentist was able to remove part of Micah's palate and pull the extra tooth. The first hour was the WORST! After that, everything was as good as usual. No pain meds no ibuprofen! The tooth fairy decided that this was worth more than a quarter! He got a bigger bike! He does a pretty good job, but his confidence in himself is more than my confidence in him, I guess. I become a nervous, hot flashed sweat when we bike through busy roads! My baby is growing too fast!
He talks a mile a minute, and he asks questions over and over just for the sake of talking, so we told him, "Micah, don't ask us questions you already know the answers to." Well, Scott being the little copycat he is asks, "Why?" once in a while. One day while Micah was talking to Scott, Scott said, "Why?" Micah's answer to Scott was, "Scottie, don't ask questions you already know the answers to?" Scott's reply? "Why?" Every time we ask Scott, "Why." His answer is, "Cause." EVERY TIME!

Here is Scott washing his hair in gravel and dirt! When they take a bath, that's what the water looks like. Dark! When the tub water is drained, it's filled with pebbles and sand!

Simon has built me a 4 foot fence! I am so happy I can open the door and have the boys run out without worrying about them running onto the street. The boys are getting better with their balance on their personal jungle gym, Simon. They seem to have become fearless of heights to me. ME? How do I handle it? Well, I'm a nervous wreck when they balance on their dad. I stand aside yelling "AAH!" "OOH!" "SIMON!!!!" "GEE WHIZ!" Then I have to turn away for my goodness sake.

Going home day

The boys stayed up very late and woke up very early. They dressed themselves and helped with the campfire to make breakfast.

Scott is taking a big bite of eggs. I think that anything eaten outdoors tastes better. Before heading home we made a promise that Micah would go fishing. Here we are fishing for red salmon.

More Clamming

Micah's effort to keep his clothes clean didn't last long. He saw how drenched Scott was and I guess it looked more fun. The water was so warm! It was like a big bathtub! It was impossible to keep the boys from the water.

We didn't get many clams, but the few that we got were very tasty! The boys were very helpful getting wood for the fire. We didn't have a very pleasant night, but I thought it was better than being in town!

Clamming

The boys loved clamming! Simon and I decided to let them do what they know how to do best...GET DIRTY!

Scottie drenched himself playing with the mud while Micah tried hard not to get himself muddy.

Hose

Scottie the copycat is watering the yard now. He squats to gain control, then has control. After he has control he stands up and starts watering the yard, just like his big brother.

Hangers & Flowers

We received a whole bunch of books, sheets and other goodies from Cyndi, Jeff, Mitchell and Danielle. A part of the goodies was a bunch of hangers! Scott spent over an hour hanging the hangers on the counter, knocking them off and rehanging them. Micah spent an hour doing the same thing, only louder. IT WAS SO PEACEFUL TODAY!!! I never would have thought to make hangers a toy! Thank you Cyndi and family!

Our weeds are infesting most of our lawn. Micah saw bunches of pretty flowers to pick for mom! You can tell he smelled a bunch of the dandelions before giving them to me by looking at his top lip. It's yellow. I tried to convince him that picking the dandelions would kill the flowers, but he argued that all I have to do is put them in a vase full of water so that they'll drink and live. So, I did. I asked Micah after I put the flowers in water, "Do you like the flowers that you picked for me?" He answered, "No, but you do, that's why I picked them for you." Now I have a vase full of weeds as my centerpiece on my diningroom table, because he thinks I like them. SO SWEET!

DUCK!

Scott was having a blast running up and down the muddy stream until he hit the really muddy part. He had been testing his limit since we walked outside. After a few minutes of telling him not to walk in the mud, I thought, "He's just a BOY! Just let him be a boy and get all muddy." His joy didn't last too long...he got stuck, or in his case, "DUCK."
Micah is my goose and Scott is my duck. I call Micah goose once in a while. When he was younger I'd tell him he was a silly goof ball. He said he was a silly goose ball, so that's how that stuck. For Scott, he gets stuck EVERYWHERE! Everyday he says the word "duck," and that's how that duck, I mean stuck.

After I cleaned Scottie up, I sat on the couch to relax. It wasn't a minute later I heard what sounded like hundreds of spaghetti noodles falling on the floor. I waited a minute and heard nothing. The next minute Scott ran to me and I got up to see what happened. Scott ran in front of me, right to the incident and yelled, "NOOOO NOOOO!" just the way I would say, "OHHH NOOO!" There he is, standing there looking innocent with a belt around his neck. I don't know why he likes things hanging around his neck.
Micah was so happy to find the hat and mittens his grandma from Nome made him. They have chickadees on both hands and on each side of the hat. He wanted me to take a picture of him and show grandma that he's using them. He used the mittens on a bike ride a couple days ago.

My Family

God is so good! I had tears of joy and thanksgiving when it was time to leave the beautiful country. God made this day perfect to show me how much he loves and cares for me. This day makes me want to share to everyone how wonderful it is to have a God who will take good care of his children! I want to thank my dear friend Wendy again for showing me about how to blog for friends and family to share this experience! THANKS WENDY!!! I'm still trying to learn more!

Fishing

After breaking camp we went fishing at a lake. We didn't have the proper fishing lures at first, then a nice man arrived and had Micah reel his fish in and then gave us his fly and bobber.

Micah's been wanting to fish for weeks and now he got what he wanted! The flopping fish scared Scott and he started crying. Micah was filled with joy when he caught his first fish of the year. Micah was learning how to cast and reel with a real fishing pole and the line got tangled a few times, which cost us some fishing time. While waiting for the tangle to come out, the nice man asked Micah to hold his pole for him because his back was hurting and he wanted to stretch. When Micah took the pole there was a fish on it! Micah was so excited he caught another fish! They were yummy! Thank you Chuck! You were a blessing!

Smiles

Before breaking camp I took pictures of my babies' smiles.

Micah took a picture of me and my hon relaxing. Scott calls both me and Simon hon once in a while because we both call each other hon.
