Scott Skating
1st Time Ice Skating
Today was the first time my boys have ever been ice skating. Of course a little wobbly at first with lots of falls. They both skated better than I expected them to. Micah really started to skate after watching his dad skate and bump into a snowdrift. He did a good job twirling and skating backwards too.
Welcome Home!
Simon asked the boys to smell the box and guess what was in it. "FROGS" was the reply. Actually, Micah guessed frogs and Scott being a big copycat guessed the same thing.
When we opened up the box they were very excited to see the exact same chickens! I don't remember what Micah named them when they were only chicks, but their names can be found in an older post (maybe May of 2007). Micah gave the rooster a different name, Stinky Pete. He hasn't decided on a new name for the hen.
This facial expression. I wonder what he was thinking.
They are very beautiful. The person who gave them to us said he already had a rooster and that the other chickens were not accepting this hen.

Cute
One day I did't know that Scott bumped his head on the counter until I saw this. After he bumped his head he went to the refrigerator, took out the string cheese, put it on his head and told me that he bumped.
I don't know how hard Scott worked to get his body through the neck of his PJ's. I wish I could remember what he said he was. I don't even remember whether it was an animal or a thing.
Scott and Micah were talking to their grandparents from Illinois when this picture was taken by Micah. He wanted to show them the snowflakes on the window.
AND HERE, Scott said that sung-ting (something) was stuck in his toes. He sat there for a minute concentrating on picking the lint out from between his toes.
A Caterpillar
During dinner we found we had an uninvited guest. Perhaps we were the ones who imposed on him at dinner. Simon saw the caterpillar on his broccoli, and if he hadn't been looking closer, the caterpillar would've been HIS dinner. The boys enjoyed looking and petting it (as they do with almost all types of insects). After holding the caterpillar for a while it bit Micah. I guess the pinch was surprising enough that he decided to put it down. We put it back on the broccoli and back into the fridge. We can't find it anywhere now!
