Scott and Angie's cookies

Nana Angie was with us for a few days and she made me, with the help of Scott, oatmeal raisin cookies!

The boys are always wanting to help me cook, and it becomes tiring. Angie was so patient and Scottie was so helpful!

Orange, Egg and Laughing

I bought a whole bunch of oranges and Micah decided (without asking for help) to make some freshly squeezed orange juice. He started with a whole orange and used a cup that was too small.

After he was done squeezing one orange there was only a tiny bit of juice at the bottom. He gave me a smile and said it was for me! ALL THAT EFFORT! FOR ME! I was so happy! I felt a big lump in my throat! I drank it and squeezed the rest of the juice from his orange and another one for him.

The chicken lays an egg every 2 to 3 days. We saved them in the refrigerator and Micah was upset when we first ate some. He said we couldn't eat them because they were going to hatch into chicks. So, we had to explain to him that when we take the eggs, they die and we eat them. We'll incubate some later so that we'll have more fresh eggs.

I don't remember what the boys were watching when I took this picture. I was laughing at them laughing at the TV. INFECTIOUS LAUGHS!
